Playing Back Recordings from a Camera Timeline

You can quickly replay recent video images recorded from a camera.

  • System Manager is Operating mode.
  1. In System Browser, select Application View.
  1. Select Applications > Video > Cameras > [camera].
  • The video view of your station displays, with live images from the selected camera in the first monitor.
  1. In the Video Controls tab of the Contextual pane, click Timeline.
  • The timeline for the selected camera displays, showing its recordings and tags for the past 24 hours (by default). However this time window can be reduced. For details see Camera Timeline Reference.
  1. In the timeline, locate the recording that you want to display. To help do this you can:
  • Click Graphic to see the camera recordings and tags as symbols (colored bars and diamonds) on a graphical timeline. Hover the mouse pointer over the symbols to see any comment text, and other details.
  • Click Textual to display a compact table with details about each recording.
  1. Drag-and-drop a timeline symbol or table row onto a monitor in the video view.
  • The monitor displays the recorded video images.
  1. Use the controls on the monitor to play back the video:.
  • / and /: play/pause and fast forward/rewind.
  • : jump to start point (recording trigger time).
  1. When you are done, close the replay session by clicking X on the top right of the monitor.
