Installing and Starting the OPC UA Client Adapter
Scenario
You want to connect Desigo CC to the OPC UA Client adapter. Reference: For background information, see the reference section.
Prerequisites
- After installation, the OPC_UA_Client.msi installer package is available in [Installation Drive]:\[Installation Folder]\GMSMainProject\AddSW\OPC_UA_Client.
In case you want to upgrade the adapter software, you must first uninstall the previous version, and then install the new one.
When uninstalling the adapter (SORIS OPC UA Adapter), the relevant folders and batch file (Install_AdapterAsService_HTTP.bat) are deleted.
Consequently, in case you want to reuse the existing configuration, before uninstalling the previous version of the adapter, it is suggested to save folders, and the batch file. You can then use the saved folders and batch file to overwrite the corresponding folders and batch file created when you install a new version of the adapter.
