Install NK823x

Perform this step to install a new NK823x unit. For information about the electrical wiring, refer to the NK823x installation sheet (A6V10238676).
A general presentation of the NK823x hardware is provided in NK823x Hardware.

  1. You read and understood the NK823x Safety Regulations.
  1. Install the NK823x unit. Available installation options:
    • Mounting of the plastic box on DIN rail.
    • (For CS11 units only): mounting of the mainboard in the control unit housing using card holders and mounting kits.
      The NKA8011-A1 mounting plate (S54461-B4-A1) and NZ8201 mounting kit for CS11 (A6E600185) are required.
  2. Connect subsystems using the standard RS232 interfaces on COM1-COM4.
  3. (Optional) Connect the onboard I/O signals.
  4. Connect the Ethernet port (1 or 2) to the management station. Category 5 or 6 UTP cabling is best suited.
    NOTE: A static IP address is required (DHCP is not supported).
  5. Connect the power supply.
