Configure the Adapter Settings

  1. Click Settings to open the Adapter Settings dialog box.
  2. In the dialog box, you can:
    • Enable the Log Info about request and response messages.
    • Enable the Write log to a file.
NOTE: You can find the log file in the Logs subfolder of the installation path.
    • Adjust communication parameters:
      - Response timeout (default 50 msec). Increase this value in case of communication errors due to slow network connections (if properties show #COM status or commands fail to execute).
      - Polling interval (default 500 msec). Modify this value to adjust the refresh rate of data acquisition.
      - Watchdog interval (default 30 sec). Modify this value to adjust the adapter watchdog message to the server.

NOTE: The Settings parameters are saved in a separate file - SorisOAPadapter.Config - in the same folder as the general configuration file (see Save the Configuration File).
