SI400 Sintony
This section contains background information relating to the integration of SI400 Sintony into Desigo CC. For related procedures, see the step-by-step section.
SI400 Sintony Intrusion System Architecture
The SI400 Sintony panels can communicate with Desigo CC on a serial line via the NK823x Ethernet Port.
Sintony Connection via NK8000
The NK8000 network allows for connecting serial line-based Sintony units over a LAN network. The NK823x unit provides an optimized (and possibly encrypted) access to the LAN (Ethernet 10-Base-T) for Desigo CC.
The service computer running the Sintony Sylcom tool can connect via another serial port or over a LAN link.
The LAN connection on the Sintony unit for Sintony Sylcom tool requires the SMN36/42/43 module.

SI400 Sintony Intrusion Events Reference
This section describes the main intrusion events, according to the category to which they are assigned.
For step-by-step procedures about how to handle intrusion events, see Handle SI400 Intrusion Events.
Life Safety
Life Safety events have maximum priority. They signal either:
- Immediate risk to human life, as in the case of duress.
- Potential risk to human life, as in the case of burglary, or signals from seismic detectors.
Such events call for immediate action by the station operators, according to predefined alarm-handling guidelines.
Danger
Danger events signal that a sabotage action is likely to have happened. For example, tampering, unlocking of a zone, or a connection going down.
Such events require station operators to act as soon as possible to prevent further risks.
Fault
Fault events signal hardware problems, such as battery faults or unreachable devices.
Exclusion
Exclusion events may occur if an area is enabled/disabled or if a zone is turned off or excluded, for example due to maintenance activities.
Anomaly
Anomaly events occur when some unexpected condition, such as a configuration anomaly, prevents the system from being fully operational.
Information
Information events signal the status of the system status occurring during ordinary engineering or working activities. Some examples are: system set to Engineering mode (thus preventing commands from being executed), zones under soak test, conditions that can impede arming the intrusion system (such as a door left open), user-logging and time-setting changes out of the allowed time range.
Note that, due to the wide range of information events, the station operator should evaluate the real meaning of such events, which could involve potential security risks.
SI400 Sintony Troubleshooting
This section contains SI400 Sintony troubleshooting information.
SI400 Import Errors
Message | Situation | Do the following... |
The specified file is invalid. | The selected file to import is not a valid configuration file or it is not suitable to the Desigo CC sales channel. | Retry using a new file. Check that the file is generated by a tool belonging to the same Desigo CC sales channel. |
There are warnings or errors, look at the log file. | The selected file to import is valid, but some data is not supported. | Open the analysis log (Analysis Log button) to check the pre-import log. |
| Based on the hardware category of the installation, there is a limit to the number of objects a project can have. The system prevents you from performing imports that would exceed this limit. The system warns you if an import would approach this limit (90% or more of allowed objects). You can then choose whether to proceed. | If the installation allows for it, you can change the hardware category in the server properties to increase the system objects limit. |
SI400 Configuration Misalignment
Desigo CC can detect a misalignment with the panel configuration. The information provided in Event List helps you to identify the misalignment.
Event Source | Situation | Do the following... |
Unidentified | You modified the intrusion system configuration so that it is no longer aligned with NK823x and Desigo CC. | Re-import the intrusion configuration file, and download the configuration to the NK823x. Refer to the procedure Integrating SI400 Sintony Intrusion. |
Unknown Device | You modified the Desigo CC configuration so that it is no longer aligned with the NK823x and the intrusion system. |
